Data collected

The Pabiosoft website is primarily a presentation website.

When you contact Pabiosoft through the contact form or by email, some data may be collected, including:

  • your first and last name;
  • your email address;
  • the information contained in your message;
  • any information you choose to share.

Purpose

This information is used only to:

  • answer your request;
  • discuss a project or service with you;
  • follow up on the business relationship when necessary.

Legal basis

Depending on the nature of the request, data is processed on the basis of your contact request, pre-contractual measures or Pabiosoft’s legitimate interest in responding to the requests it receives.

Retention period

Data is kept for as long as necessary to handle your request and, when a business relationship is established, for as long as necessary to manage that relationship and comply with applicable legal obligations.

Recipients

The data collected is intended for Pabiosoft and is never sold or rented to third parties.

It may, however, be processed by technical service providers strictly necessary for the operation of the website or email.

Your rights

In accordance with applicable data protection regulations, you may in particular request:

  • access to your data;
  • its rectification;
  • its erasure;
  • restriction of its processing;
  • objection to its processing, where applicable.

Franky app

Franky, Pabiosoft’s desktop software for macOS and Windows (also published as “Franky Panel” in the Microsoft Store), does not collect or send any personal data: no account, no analytics, no telemetry.

Everything Franky manages stays on your computer: your project list, their settings, local database credentials and logs. The services it starts only listen on your computer (127.0.0.1).

Franky connects to the Internet only to:

  • download the components you choose to install, from their official sources (GitHub for FrankenPHP, getcomposer.org, adminer.org, wordpress.org, container image registries through Podman), and your projects’ dependencies through Composer;
  • check GitHub for a newer Franky version (version downloaded from pabiosoft.com; installed from the Microsoft Store, Franky is updated by the Store);
  • if you turn on hot reload, your project pages load two scripts from cdn.jsdelivr.net in your browser.

As with any download, these services receive your computer’s IP address, under their own privacy policies. Franky sends them no other information about you.

Klassio app

Klassio, Pabiosoft’s gradebook for Android tablets and phones, works entirely offline: no account, no analytics, no advertising, no telemetry.

The classes, student names, grades and lessons you enter stay on your device, in the app’s private storage: Pabiosoft has no access to them. If Google backup is turned on for the device, Android may include this data in your Google account backup, managed by Google under its own privacy policy. The PDF documents you export are only sent to the apps you choose (messaging, Drive…).

Klassio connects to the Internet only to:

  • download, if you turn on the AI assistant, the AI model from huggingface.co (once). The assistant then runs on your device: your requests and its answers are not sent anywhere;
  • send a report, only when you tap “Signaler” (Report) under an answer from the AI assistant: Klassio then sends a Pabiosoft server the reason you chose, your optional comment, the request made to the assistant, the reported answer, the app version and the date. Without a connection, the report waits on the device and is sent as soon as the Internet is available.

Reports are used only to moderate and improve the AI assistant, on the basis of Pabiosoft’s legitimate interest in keeping this service safe. They are automatically deleted after 12 months. The app asks you not to include a student’s name. To have a report deleted sooner, email contact@pabiosoft.com.

As with any download, huggingface.co and the Pabiosoft server receive the device’s IP address. Uninstalling Klassio deletes all its data from the device. Klassio is intended for teachers and is not designed to be used by children.

Cookies and trackers

The Pabiosoft website currently uses no advertising cookies, profiling tools or trackers requiring the user’s prior consent.

As a result, no cookie consent banner is currently displayed. Your light or dark theme preference may be stored locally on your device.

The website is registered with Google Search Console, a Google tool that lets Pabiosoft monitor the site’s indexing and presence in search results. This tool does not set any cookie or tracker on visitors’ browsers and does not collect any personal data about you: it only provides aggregated, anonymous statistics on the site’s performance in Google search results.

If audience-measurement, advertising or other consent-based trackers are added in the future, this policy will be updated and an appropriate consent mechanism will be put in place.
